A man needs a man cave, but he also needs the company of other men.

 

Once upon a time our role was to protect the village and be out hunting in groups together. Men had time together, to bond, to share and help each other grow.

Living in the modern world with its many distractions is different, but when it boils down to it we still have the same basic needs.

 

The Men’s Group is an opportunity for men to be together, sit round the fire and be part a safe, supportive, judgement free tribe. Each bloke has the opportunity to share whatever is in his heart to say. Somethings are just easier to say to other blokes.

 

Looking at men in the world today I reckon us blokes are in a bit of a crisis at the moment. Our boys need good role models they can look up to, get help from, aspire to. Some of us are Tic Tocking, Facebooking or focussed on driving a better car when actually the youngsters around us would benefit more if we spend our time on growing ourselves and looking at what we can do to make this world a better place.

 

You are not alone and we’re here to help each other and grow.

The Men’s group meets fortnightly 6:30pm where we travel together from the Braishfield Village Hall to Ampfield woods, walk into the forest, hug trees, drum around the camp fire, you'll be free to dance on the earth like your ancestors are there and connect with your Warrior Spirit. Someone will tell a story or I'll read the story of Iron John. There'll be a safe judgement free space around the fire to share whatever is in your heart if you feel drawn to do so.
